Championing Organic Agriculture Since 2003

Dr. Boraiah B is a Professor of Agronomy and Coordinator at the Research Institute on Organic Farming (RIOF), University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK Campus, Bengaluru. With over 21 years of dedicated research experience, he has been at the forefront of advancing organic and natural farming practices in India.

His work bridges the gap between traditional Indian farming wisdom — particularly cow-based formulations like Panchagavya, Jeevamrutha, and Beejamrutha — and modern agricultural science. His research spans organic farming systems, carbon sequestration, soil microbiology, biodynamic farming, and natural resource management.

Through 57 published journal articles and over 426 citations, his contributions have shaped organic farming policy and practice across the country. As Coordinator of RIOF, Dr. Boraiah leads an institute dedicated to validating organic practices, developing bio-fertilizers, and training thousands of farmers in sustainable agriculture.
